Folks,
I know this is kind of late in the game, but one of our main speakers for the next week's event on Android IDEs and Tools had to cancel his presentation due to other commitments (though he will most likely present to us on a different subject at another time). I knew about this for a while but failed to do anything about it... so with about a week to organize, I am looking for others who may be interested in sharing their knowledge of Android Tools with the rest of our group. I already spoke to a couple of you about this, but I cannot remember who expressed interest in what. So, if you would like to talk about any of the Android Tools (or maybe something custom that you have) I want to hear from you. There could be multiple presenters each covering a couple of tools. You don't need to have "slides" (unless you want to), you just need to share what you know with the rest of us - maybe through a quick demo. Interested? Let me know via this thread. Thanks, Saša |

Hi,
We're interested in speaking about Android tools at your next MeetUp. We have over 2.5 mil installs on 3 apps on Android and a team of pretty knowledgeable Android devs. Rose rose AT snaptic DOT com |

Hey there,
We would like to cover: -Introduction to android developer tools and how they contrast with xcode, visual studio and other setups. -Code sources of information ( example code, code snippits). -Common problems you encounter when building your first app. We talk through the process of debugging a few issues. -Odd issues with android. We can make a presentation and we'll probably have two devs talking. It sounds like a lot to cover but we'll cut to the details on each point. Can you drop me an email at rose@snaptic.com and let me know if youd like us to talk. I signed up for notifications on this thread but I'm not getting emails about it. :( Thanks! Hi Rose,
Thanks for providing me with this info! I just updated the event page. Can you please send me the bios of all of the speakers so that I can add them to the event description? Also, Joachim Pfeiffer offered to cover Android debugging and profiling tools: adb, ddms, Traceview, sqlite3, and Emulator dev tools so while there could be some overlap between your presentations it would be best to avoid doubling the efforts on your part. Thanks again for offering to present! See you on Tuesday! Cheers, Sasa |
